I have attached an oldie but goodie--
"Practical Suggestions for Coping With Holiday Stress" A lot of the ideas seem to have to do with developing relevant traditions and ways to create meaning that serve your present circumstances. I hope you have fun with the ideas and find some that will enhance your family’s and your enjoyment of the season Take special note of #25---I may be prejudiced but I think it helps the most!:).
Below is the upcoming workshop schedule.

Pracitice:
Holiday stress and activity can exacerbate one of the leading sources of pain in modern times, back pain. The following exercises can help with this symptom.

First aid for muscle related back pain:

Sitting Pillow Squeeze

bulletSit on the front edge of a chair with feet pointing straight.
bulletPlace a small pillow (about 6" width) between knees.
bulletRoll hips forward to put small arch in low back and to sit up tall.
bulletSqueeze and release on the pillow while maintaining arch in back. Relax your belly-and the rest of you!
bulletRepeat 50 times, taking breaks as needed

And/or

Static Back Position

bulletLie on floor with legs propped up on a chair or couch.
bulletLegs should be propped up close to 90-degree angle from floor.
bulletLet legs, back and shoulders relax.
bulletBreathe through belly (diaphragm), allowing stomach to rise when breathing in and fall when breathing out.
bulletRelax from 5 to 20 minutes as necessary. Patience.

Please remember, pain is the body's way of telling us something is wrong! and asking for action to make it better. If these exercises helped and you would like to further, once and for all, use Yoga and Egoscue Method to systematically  work on the core postural causes of pain please contact me for information.
